Holocoust Myth

"TEHRAN—Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad yesterday told delegates at an international conference questioning the Holocaust that Israel's days were numbered. Ahmadinejad, who has sparked international outcry by referring to the killing of 6 million Jews in World War II as a "myth," launched another verbal attack on the Jewish state."

The only myth I see is that or Iran being a "progessive, Islamic state which allws its people to choose its leaders". Why is it that we never see muslim leaders put in time and effort on anything useful?

How is the existence of a jewish state a threat to the progress of Iran? Sounds like a bunch of slackers hiding behind religion to try and take away attention from all the problms they have caused their own countrymen. Pakka politicians hain bhai ! No God or religion involved here...

Ganguly and miracles

Well, looks like Saurav Sahib has decided that he will stay on the crease, no matter what. Thats good. Someone needs to stay, considering that Sehwag takes his 2 minute morning walks after India are called in to bat...

Now if we could have Dravid back in form, then we could have a situation with a wall on one side, and a sticky player on the other! Time for them to get back into form, even if by fluke. Been too long now.

On the other side of the world, the American President is playing his games again. For God and country, the man says ! And what the hell happenned to the people of the USA? Arent they supposed to benefit? One confused man there. I bet he only agrees to consider all suggestions...and he will consider them, then reject them, and continue to be the fool till his term is over. Even a lame duck can be dangerous.....hopefully he wont allow the oil companies to drill in the Bay of Alaska...but that is hoping for too much. After all, they are the major contributors to his retirement fund.

George W. Bush should be made to do a honest job for atleast one day in his life. All he seems to have done is smoke up(to elevate his thoughts), dodge the draft (to show his patriotism), send others to die (to keep America strong) and screw up the environment for the entire planet (Kyoto). He can sincerely say that he caused changed...its just that the direction and manner of change is a sad reflection on how informed the American voter is..or maybe he just pioneered the scam of the voting machines instead. His work is like the photo i have posted, lazy, and stupid..potentially dangerous.

Dangerous times, these...i can feel Homeland Security monitor my blog right now..

Cricket, politics & more..or is it the same thing

What do Navjot Singh Sindhu & Shibu Soren have in common?

1. Beards ! Of course.

2. Aside from being lucky enough to have kept themselves out of jail for almost two decades. And of course managing to get elected, one way or the other...Soren managing to hoodwink, and SIndhu managing to convince his voters that a man who can make them laugh is better than other men who can only swear in Parliament.

3. Of not managing to garner any sympathy for their present predicament, they are brothers in arms again !

4. Of being short sighted ! Of course, they are politicians, politicians require short sightedness so they can claim to be "leaders"

Butt, oops, i meant ....but, jokes apart, why are either of them resigning from the Lok Sabha. After all if mafia dons can operate entire networks from jail, then why cant these two.? Sindhu can always laugh over video conferencing...he doesnt even have to laugh at the punchline...anytime is fine...i mean, thats what he does even now, right? Laughing even when the opening line of a joke is said...

As for Shibubhai....a political party is BEST managed from jail. Lots of precedence for that one. Starting from all those glorious leaders in the pre independence era....and our very own Buffalo man, or is it cows? laloo of course.

And where does cricket come in? Well, it doesnt, i just put it there so all the guys who like Ganguly come and read my rant. And the ones who hate him too. Anyway, since he was selected because his batting average is higher than the rest of the team, I can give one suggestion that should inprove his batting against bouncers. Its simple, really. Weigh down his right elbow with a 10 pound weight...if he cant get it up in the way of the ball, he might get his face smashed in, but he wont get his arm or bat in the way of the ball. As for his face,...well, he has managed to save face for years in the light of very disturbing and probing questions..so i am sure he will manage to save it a few more times too !
have fun, people, crib about all my rants and the uselessness of life, the universe, and everything else.
If you are going to hang yourself immediately after you do that, then send me all your money before you go....and have a safe journey into the afterlife !

The politics of clemency?

With a terrorist being lined up to be hung, we now hear talk of protests and pleas for mercy for him...sometimes, democracy is good for proving that there are plenty of stupid people around.

If they do want him anyway, why dont we try the following

1. Exchange his life for the chief of Jaish E Mohammed, who was released when the plane was hijacked.

2. Ask any of the political leaders to put themselves in line in exchange...after all, the man is valuable to the country, so are the politicians (according to their own claims) and so it should be a fair deal..

3. Put the politicians face to face with the wifes of the men who lost their lives in that attack, lets see how they beg..

4. Replace the terrorost with any one of the MPs that he was trying to kill (thats my choice of a deal!!!)

Whatsay, people ?

Mumbai Tourism - A new profile

Does anyone think that we can offer tours of Mumbai as part of adventure sports? just imagine....

1. A tour of the rush hour locals...the undamaged ones - in rush hour

2. A tour of BEST buses - on a day when the trains are not running

3. A walking tour of Bhuleshwa and other places, where it is almost impossible to walk

4. The underground tour - falling thru an open manhole to come out in a new location in the city (free change of clothes part of the package)

Any more ideas, anyone?

Mumbai desecration - pigeons complain

Once again, Mumbai goes 1 step ahead, 2 steps behind. First the rains and the flooding. It wasnt as bad as last year, but the BMC can hardly take credit for that....it rained less than last time ! With the same quantity of rain, Mumbai would have fared equally badly this year too.

So where did the 2000 crores spent go? Should we recover it from the administration and the contractors?

On to the second step backward

Statues in public places. I'm tired of people finding alternative uses for chappals in this manner. No one looks at them anyway. So why dont we get rid of them?

Send them back to whichever party they belonged. The public does not wish to have its money used for

1. making the statues
2. maintaining the statues
3. having buses burnt
4. shutting the city down

And the only ones who will be complaining are the pigeons.

Stupid parties. Go back.

And the Governmet goes down.....

Look around you. Arjun Singh has set the stage for his last and final attempt to become PM. He is 76. Figures that if he displaces Manmohan Singh as PM, as seniormost, he has a good chance.

As I remember it, the last time a reservation policy was invoked, (1989, VP Singh) it caused the Goverment to fall. No one ever heard of dear VP ever again, except, of course, the cancer treatment he gets for having inflicted us with a dividist system, on our money too....why cant he take treatment from a reserved category doctor from the quotas he set?

he protest spread form the top medical institutes...to all medical institutes, to the top engineering institutes, to all engineering institutes

I predict

a. The Congress loses at both the centre, as well as in maharashtra.

b. Arjun Singh is heard of next only on his death.

Vote anyone but congress ! Start the campaign today.

Thank god for SEBI

Hmm, finally SEBI has done something. Oh, i'm not talking about the depository scam and all that. I mean the newspapers.

5 days of talk about bulets, and deranged brothers and B+ was driving me crazy. SEBI managed to take over the front page, and the BSE Sensex responded gallantly.

Wow.

Talk of an economy in motion.

So much for Indians being attracted to emotion. I say they are attracted to money ! 12,000. Whee. Maybe i should save up and invest too...

I support Iran

Okay okay, so this is one of my nifty support thingys again.

But why not let Iran have the bomb. Its a nifty geek thing to have. If we can trust a silly twit to be the President of the USA with rigged voting machines and false hopes, if we can have North Korea with a nuke and no rice, whats the problem with a religous fanatic who belives in converting the world. After all, all us good people go to heaven when we die...these brave, responsible men should be designated propehets. The earlier prophets only promised to show the path, these men will escort us there....talk about customer service !

Let him make a nuke...and if we hear of another earthquake in iran , then we know what was up...

Dance Dance

So much for moral policing....

While our government makes new laws and sends ordinances which render bar girls jobless, the rest of us are left to cool our heels in traffic .

I guess its more important to have good morals than to survive. Alongwith a ban on dance bars, i also propose a ban on..

1. Cops

2. Thieves

3. Politicians

4. paper pushers

5. Organised religion

Thats should give us good morals. After that we can worry about simple things like clean water, more trees and other such minor worries...

I support Reservations

Sure i support them. All these seats Arjun Singh wants to give away. Perfect. What are minister's for, except to be generous and throw things away? Kings did it for generations, now its the age of ministers...

i support reservations if

1. Arjun Singh "reserves" a part of his house (ok, his free ministerial bunglow) and lets it be used as a Reserved Candidates Hostel.

2. There is a reservation created in the central cabinet for the same grades...even if it means he has to resign from the cabinet himself to make way for them.

3. VP Singh (the "father" of Mandal Commission implementations, agrees to be treated for his cancer (or whatever else he keeps being treated for) by a doctor who got a seat through his reservation policy..not through doctors in the UK.

4. If all those who support the reservation, show that they themselves are willing to sacrifice their own, or their kids careers at the alter of "morally correct"

Why is it that competence has so little space? No wonder we have people willing to leave the country...can't say i blame them...imagine an Eienstien next to a chap who can barely pass his X standard, and both being treated as equal.

Crazy world, isn't it?

Necessity for new words

There have been times when I have wondered why people keep inventing new words. There are already more words than I can manage to remember...or use. But today I found a REAL need for new words.

I was watching the Davis Cup Tie between India and Pakistan, the doubles match. The commentary was so.........insipid? silly? stupid? uninspiring? I can't find a good enough word to describe the torture it was to listen to them.....viewers should sue them ! If you lower the volume, you can't hear the rest of the atmosphere (cheering fans., the thump of the racquet hitting the ball..) and if you raise the volume, you feeel like pulling your hair out, shooting those guys and doing the salsa, all at the same time.

Anyone who belives that privatisation is not good...WATCH THIS TELECAST ! (Our local Commies, please !)

Why do we need God?

We cannot assert the innocence of anyone, whereas we can state with certainity the guilt of all.
Religions are on the wrong track they moment they moralize and fulminate commandments. God is not needed to create guilt or to punish. Our fellow men suffice, aided by ourselves.

God's sole usefulness would be to guarantee innocence.

Don't wait for the Last Judgement. it takes place everyday. That is why our heroes, our achievers, are vilified everyday. Locked up. Killed. There are always reasons for murdering a man. On the contary, it is impossible to justify his living.

Don't know if this post will make sense to anyone but me...crossing my fingers and hoping it does....

Whatever happenned to a sense of humour?

As a resident of Bombay (yes, Bombay, you can call it Mumbai or whatever else you like, for me it stays Bombay) , I have been subjected to a lot of advertising and special offers in the last 12 months, especially since two new newspapers have been launched in that period. All for the good, espically since the ToI seems to stopped numbering its pages (..all the pages should have the number 3)

But reading DNA seems to make me feel that the term newspaper is a bit of a misnomer. Too many opinions and too little news. And what little there is, is distorted.

Lets take an example in todays paper (can't give you the page no or the article name cause I trashed the paper in the nearest bin after reading this article).

A lady expresses teh opinion that coffee shops in bombay are delibrately insulting women. Fair enough. Proof? Apparently a coffee shop in InOrbit Mall (Malad..no I don't stay that side) gave her a coffee, with a coaster or something similar..which had the following printed on it "Women should be obscene, not heard - Groucho Marx"

The writer is outraged at the shop for such indecent behaviour and proceeds to derive conclusions that are extreme, to say the least.

As I see it

1. Groucho Marx is the man who makes me laugh easiest.
2. ALL his comments were outrageous, and made as a joke....
3. Thank God this lady isnt in charge of anything that require logic, computers for example....i am pretty sure that if she reads this post she will willingly believe I am some kind of Nazi wife beater or worse.

Maybe I should start a newspaper for people with culture, intelligence and logic...people like Groucho !

Wait-a-minute , isn't a blog a start ?

:-)

Biz Books run late....

One thing I figure about business books......they are the exact opposite of scientific books. Think about it. Most scientific publications are full of theories...which take decades, or atleast years before they are proven right..or wrong. Most business books, on the other hand, are written by consultants who have seen the practical parts work in a dozen places before they spot the pattern and write a book about it.

Easier to write a business book? Maybe. Who knows. To each his own.

Attila was exactly what mankind deserved !

This is my first post on my own blog. This blog won't talk about me at all..Thank God ! Hopefully I'll manage to get some poor sods to read my comments on everyone..most likely, all my entries will be about books I read, or insights I get into all sorts of silly and trivial stuff, articles I end up finding interesting and so on...

Welcome to the blog who thinks Attila was exactly what mankind deserved..(Who was Attila? Try www.Wikipedia.org)
